The Frank Sinatra Residence, 1967
Just an eleven mile drive above the Coachella Valley floor, Sinatra's ten-acre Villa Maggio provides an idyllic, mountain retreat. Just a short drive along Riverside County's scenic Pines to Palms Highway from Palm Desert's El Paseo, Villa Maggio's pastoral location provides a tepid climate that welcomes outdoor, desert living, without the searing heat of the of the valley below.
Comprised of three buildings built into the undulating terrain of the transverse ranges along the eastern edge of the San Bernardino National Forest, Villa Maggio's rustic, chalet design retains much of the colorful, late-1960s eclecticism that followed the subdued, minimalist aesthetic of postwar America.
The main house, with its steeply pitched roofline rising from the hillside, has three bedrooms and six bathrooms. The guest house has three bedrooms and five bathrooms. The two-bath, dual-sauna pool house provides views of the pool & tennis court.
