Depuis vingt ans, elles sont devenues des must have absolus.

The U.S. boom of the fifties houses has not yet experienced ‘big splash’ these great dives in the pool water blue summer heat, immortalized by the painter David Hockney an Englishman, now local celebrity. Thirty years ago, the houses of architects from the fifties, many in California, were coveted for the relaxed lifestyle it embodies. For twenty years they have become absolute must have. In Los Angeles, the agency Homes for the Moment, which rents only very beautiful houses, Dominique Oren shade the dream:

Some have already been destroyed or badly processed. It is rare to find in the original report. The houses are ‘cool’ in essence, informal and very in tune with the local lifestyle. ‘Serge, her husband adds: “Some still belong to witnesses of a fascinating period. Their stories are real scenarios. ‘On the heights of legendary chic Bel-Air, Serge and Dominique showed us a villa architect HaleFickett Edward American (1916-1999), great figure of California Modernism.
