Morris’ own home, daringly cantilevered into a Silver Lake hillside, was described by Julius Shulman as ‘[the] best work [Morris] ever did.’ Trained as an engineer and first apprenticed to Lloyd Wright, Morris melded an industrial aesthetic with organic, Wrightian principles.
