Taking his cues from the simple modernism of the original structure, Unruh expands the residence to almost 3,000 square feet using a deft combination of steel, wood and glass. The entire first floor is open and includes living area, den, dining area and kitchen. The master suite and guest bedroom/bath occupy the second floor, while the lower level allows for any possible combination of home office, media room or guest room. The look and feel is decidedly 1950’s in approach, which only adds to the clean lines and city lights views that are pervasive in each room.
