Agent
Hi, I’m Chris Pomeroy. I am a real estate agent as well as a meditation teacher with a focus on historic and architecturally significant property. I like to say my love of architecture started when as a boy I located several odd-shaped pieces of wood, a hammer, some nails, and built a treehouse. Many years later I came to understand that it was “Lautneresque” in its angles and connection to nature. For the last fifteen years I have built my career and reputation on the principle of hard work, my aesthetic judgment, deep love of architecture, discretion, and a continued desire to refine everything that I do (I now leave the design & build work to the professionals however). Working with an exceptional long-term clientele from the worlds of art, entertainment, new media, and more, I started my career in the real estate market of New York City where I represented clients in the sale or purchase of property designed by the Pritzker winning Jean Nouvel, the AIA and SARA award-winning Chelsea Modern Condominiums as well as some of the most important historic estates and cutting-edge architecture in New York’s Hudson Valley. Seven years ago the deep connections I have on the West Coast brought me to Southern California. I hit the ground running and have not stopped moving since, other than to occasionally walk on some rocks or jump into the ocean. I have been fortunate to be involved in the sale of great architecture by Richard Neutra, John Byers, Cliff May, Matt Kivlin, Lubowicki Lanier Architecture, and Arthur Kelly, among others. My natural curiosity about the ever-changing national and international landscape has always helped me work at the highest levels of my profession.
All of my partners (that’s hopefully you by the way) enjoy the benefits of someone who takes the time to understand what they want and thoroughly knows the market. I always strive to ensure that the process of acquiring a special property is the pleasure I believe it should always be. Sellers welcome my tireless work ethic, hands-on, focused approach, and the desire to use every resource at my disposal to get the strongest results possible. Consistent high-end referrals and repeat business speak to many jobs well done over the years. With any spare time that I can find I teach meditation, something that I am passionate about and have taught for the past seven years. I also remain dually licensed with one of the largest, most-respected real estate firms in NYC, which helps facilitate an effortless flow of referrals for my clients and properties. I live in Malibu (where you might find me on the aforementioned rocks and ocean). I am also a long-time advocate for multiple non-profits including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Habitat for Humanity, and the ASPCA. Additionally, I serve on the board of CicLAvia, the largest open streets non-profit in the United States, and a great exponent of joy. When we are working together we will probably have some fun, surely experience some joy, but all adventure will be in full service of the business at hand.
